The city of Telluride has some of the strictest wastewater regulations in the country. The "25% Rule" is a standard guideline where a grease trap must be cleaned once 25% of its capacity is filled with floating fats and settled solids. Ignoring this leads to "spillover," where grease enters the main sewer lines of Telluride, CO, causing massive blockages known as "fatbergs."
At RAX Dumpster, we don't just "suck out the grease." We provide a full-spectrum cleaning process designed to extend the life of your plumbing.
Using high-capacity vacuum trucks, we remove the entire contents of your trap—both the floating grease layer and the heavy solids at the bottom. This is essential for businesses in Telluride that produce high volumes of fried foods or heavy proteins.
Many discount services only pump the liquid. Our technicians perform a manual scrape of the side walls and baffles. This ensures that hardened "grease scale" is removed, preventing it from breaking off and clogging your internal pipes.
During every visit in Telluride, CO, we inspect the integrity of your T-pipes and baffles. If a baffle is corroded or missing, the trap cannot effectively separate grease, leading to compliance failure.
For kitchens in Telluride, CO experiencing slow drains, we offer high-pressure hydro-jetting. This clears the lines leading from your kitchen to the trap, ensuring a completely clear system.
Operating in Telluride requires a keen understanding of the Industrial Waste Management Division's requirements. The city mandates that every Food Service Establishment (FSE) must install and maintain an adequately sized Grease Control Device (GCD).
Even if your kitchen looks spotless, a "rotten egg" smell can permeate your dining area. This usually indicates that the water seal in your trap has been compromised or that the grease has become rancid. Our deep-cleaning process in Telluride, CO eliminates the source of the odor at the molecular level.
If your sinks are draining slowly, the grease trap is likely at maximum capacity. This creates a bottleneck in your kitchen's workflow. Our rapid response team in Telluride can clear these blockages before they turn into a total shutdown.
